Both the State and Federal government offer benefits which include both stamp duty exemptions and grants.
First Home Buyer’s Grants
The first home buyer’s grants for construction are based upon the date of signing a building contract and are payable upon commencement of construction.

Note: the NSW $3,000 component of the grant of is to be reviewed June 30, 2010.
Stamp Duty Exemption
The NSW Government First Home Plus Scheme provides eligible purchasers with exemptions on transfer duty on vacant land valued up to $300 000, and will receive concessions on duty between $300,000 and $450,000.
